We stayed pretty busy this weekend between ITLPD and our church activities. Saturday night, we went to a dinner for diapers party that our Sunday school class had. One of the couples in our class recently had a baby. While we've already had the showers, the biggest need seems to be diapers. The dinner was wonderful and it was nice to have time with our classmates to spend talking and watching a bit of the LSU v Alburn game.

After church on Sunday, we went out with several people from our class to Cristina's Mexican restaurant. Our pastor joined us for lunch. It's funny to watch him walk into a restaurant because he seems to know half of the people there. The food was very good, and the time spent with everyone was quite enjoyable.

Another weekend also brings another round of results from the sports world. This is definitely the best time of year for sports if you are a fan. The convergence of baseball, football, soccer, and the upcoming basketball and hockey seasons make this a busy time. What we saw this weekend:

The United States defeated Europe for the first time since 1999 in the Ryder Cup.

The Yankees played their last game in the House that Ruth Built.

The Cowboys start their season 3 and 0 by capturing their first victory ever at Lambeau Field.

The Tampa Bay Rays clinched their first ever playoff spot.

The Chicago Cubs clinched their second straight NL Central Division title.

LSU defeats Auburn in a great come from behind victory.

Alabama rolled over Arkansas and start their season 4 and 0 and setting up a match up of undefeated teams for next weeks game at the University of Georgia.

The new college football AP rankings are out.
