It looks like the wind and rain that pounded our neighbors to the south is making its way up north today compliments of our friend Ike. While today and part of tomorrow should see some heavy rains and winds, the start of the week looks like it is going to bring us some traditional fall weather. We're even in for some evening where we make it into the upper 50's! :)

While we enjoy the benefit of Ike's aftermath with good weather, the residents in Southeast Texas will be cleaning up for weeks to come. Thankfully, it was not as bad as it could have been. Nevertheless, the devastation was significant. Currently, there is a large search and rescue operation that is underway. Of course, the clean up will take weeks.

Only the Kitchen

Outside of a few odds and ends, the only thing that remains is unpacking the kitchen. I will finally have the entire apartment set up by Sunday evening. It is going to be great getting to go home and cook and sit down and relax without having to get up in a few minutes time to continue unpacking. I think that next weekend will be nice. There is a possibility that I may go see Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby with some of my friends this evening. If I do, you can expect another movie review on Monday. I think that this will be the number one movie this weekend with 35 million plus in the three day stretch.
