Green Tip: Sooner or later, all batteries, even rechargeables, bit the dust. When they do, you'll want to keep them out of the landfill, where they may leach acids and heavy metal pollutants into the soil and groundwater. Look for centers that recycle them instead, and buy only the types that you know your center handles. Do Your Part: The Earth 911 website includes an easy-to-use locator for batter recycling sites. You can search by town or zip code for a location near you. [This fact brought to you by Page-a-Day calendar.]
We finished season two of Doctor Who last night. It was sad. Overall, the season was very good. The new doctor, David Tennant, did a great job. I did think that some of the individual episodes where not quite as good as the first season, but they had some gems as well. The ending was a bit of a crusher.
I think that Erica is rather firmly hooked on the show. She's even shown interest in watching the bonus material. The real trick for us both, however, will be accepting the changes that are coming in season three. It's always hard to shift gears with new characters. Hopefully, the stories will be good enough to draw us in. The series hasn't let us down on that front so far.
Happy Birthday wishes to The Edge a.k.a. David Howell Evans. The Edge is the lead guitarist for U2. Known as one of the most influencial guitarists in rock, The Edge has been with U2 since the beginning. In addition to playing the guitar, he also plays the keyboard, contributes to vocals, and has written songs for the band as well.
