On Saturday, my wife and I got to go to a friend's birthday party. I actually like going to birthday events now because they mainly involve hanging out and talking. It was the first group thing that we've really done since we've been married. After several months of hanging out together, it was nice to move back into our group of friends. Besides, the cake was mighty tasty.

The month of May is going to seem like a whirlwind after the calm of April. This was the first of several birthday parties. Also, there are two concerts, one piratical movie event, and possibly a trip back in time at Scarborough. This is leaving out a little thing called Mother's Day (May 13th) and Memorial Day (May 28th). May is one busy week indeed.

In conclusion of the Monday series, Common Misconceptions about Workouts and Common Sense Responses to Them:

Advice: Slugging through exercise, like it or not, is the road to success.

Myth: You need to mix up your activity, to stay motivated and enjoy the activity. If you enjoy working out, you'll stay with it for the long term. You may like to go the gym, play a sport, or engage in some other physical activity. There is no "best" activity. The best workout is one you enjoy.-By Madelyn Fernstrom, Ph.D., CNS
