Roller Derby!

Man was it a busy weekend. I feel like I moved all weekend and in between the moves managed to squeeze in a few events. Saturday night I got to catch up with three of my old girlfriends from college that I haven't seen for almost 6 years. It's always fun seeing old friends. The Sunday night event was a trip to Lewisville to see the final matches of the first regular season for the Dallas Derby Devils. If you've ever seen the old rendition of roller derby, then you have an idea of the spectacle that I witnessed last night. The new version is a little different since they have done away with the raised tracks in favor of the flat track at your local roller rinks. The fans line up just outside of the track for a chance to be run into by one of the participants in the derby and to build beer pyramids from the empty cans at this BYOB event.

The skaters all have funny names not unlike the XFL and were costumes for their teams. The action reminded me a lot of the WWF in the 1980's. You were never quite sure if the event was staged or real and of course the participants and most of the fans would try to kill you if you said it was not real. There were injuries, there was some acting and there was some fast past skating. On this evening the High Seas Hotties took home the biggest win and remained undefeated for the regular season of the Dallas Derby Devils.

The Yogurt Flavors: Chocolate Decadence, World Class Vanilla, Pistachio, Peanut Butter, White Chocolate Raspberry and Lemon.

The Owner's Corner Tip of the Week: Stop wasting calories and points. Full calorie dressings have 3 to 4 points per serving and should always be avoided. What most people do not know is that Fat Free dressings are just another trap. Most Fat Free dressings are loaded with sugar and high fructose corn syrup that act to inhibit weight loss.

Instead, try one of our Walden Farms dressings that are fat free, zero carb and calorie free. If you're worried about the taste, we have open samples of all of the dressings available for you to try. Just ask and we will be happy to help you. We also have 8 types of grilling sauces and marinades that will cost you zero points. Smart choices will lead you to your better lifestyle. Let us help you.
