The Melt Show

Three years and worth the wait, the Old 97's proved to be as good as a show as ever and the Granada proved to be a pretty good music venue. It was the first time that I have been to the Granada since they changed it from a movie theater to a concert venue. The show was packed with old school fans and the band did not disappoint. The Old 97's played a healthy mix of new and old songs along with a couple of solo songs from the band's front man Rhett Miller. High energy fun is the best way to describe the show.

I sang along and danced around as much as I could. I fit right in with the vast majority of the crowd because that is what you do at one of their shows. You kick back and scream out with the band. It was a great show for a small group of friends and I would like to thank my best friend for putting up with my attempts to dance. ;) The Old 97's are still one of the greatest bands to see in action and I am glad that I got to do so again.

The Yogurt Flavors: Chocolate Decadence, World Class Vanilla, Butter Pecan, Pumpkin, Very Berry and Banana.

This weekend, we have a Millennium Pie Special. The traditional crust Millennium pies are $14.99 (regularly $19.99) and the Nut Crust Millennium pies are $18.99 (regularly $22.99). You may order one tomorrow or come in and pick one up today.

We have received a restock on our brittles and Gnu Flavor & Fiber bars. We also have in three new suckers just in time for Halloween. A chocolate cat, a Tequila pop with real worm and a Lick it Cricket with real cricket. MMMMMmmmmmm...

Fun Fact Friday: Since the strands of DNA in one human cell stretch almost 6 feet, if all the DNA in your body were put end to end, it would reach the Sun and back over 600 times (100 trillion cells times 6 feet divided by 93 million miles). [I am amazed at this fact.] (This fact brought to you by the Fact or Crap daily calendar.)

Happy Birthday Wishes to Paul Frederic Simon. Mr. Simon is half of the well known Simon and Garfunkel and has continued on to have a successful solo career. I'm sure that you all know and love a few of the songs that he has written over the ages. Want a free small (7 oz) yogurt? Name the Simon and Garfunkel song that starts the movie The Graduate.

I sure hope that everyone gets a chance to enjoy the wonderful weather today because tomorrow evening is suppose to bring us rain for the rest of the weekend. Take a moment to step outside and breath deep. Steal yourself a little moment of peace. Days like today are a precious commodity.

Pshaw I say to your alt-country nonsense. You missed out on the psychobilly goodness, or helllbilly as I've also seen it called, that is Ghoultown.
