If there is something bad about taking a week off of work, it is playing catch up when you get back. Thankfully, the new staff and Rick and Stacey did an excellent job of holding the place together so outside of a few orders here and there, it has been a fairly easy morning. I figure in another day that I will be back into the swing of things at work.
The married life is going on its second week. The first 5 days we spent in Eureka Springs, AR in a Cottage Tree house for the first two and then right in the center of downtown for the remainder. I tell this to everyone: If you haven't been to Eureka Springs, then make sure you go. At around a 6 1/2 hour drive, it is well worth at least one weekend or, if you want to save, a mid-week trip.
This trip was great for many reasons. Among them was that we just happened to be there during there dead time of the year. While it meant that some of the shops and dinners were closed, it also meant that we had the town virtually to ourselves. (It really seemed like there were only a few other couples in the whole town that we kept running into.)
The final few days we spent moving some additional things into our new home which is a lovely one bedroom apartment. We've got an apartment full of various things with a whole corner devoted to Goodwill and another devoted to wedding presents. On Friday, we did our first combined grocery trip. The fridge is full and we've got supplies for the next 10 to 12 days. We both like to cook and it will be nice to cook our meals together and have the leftovers to share.
