A little game called Halo 3 was released at midnight this morning. It is predicted that this could be the biggest game launch in history with over 150 million dollars brought in over the course of 24 hours. I'm looking forward to playing this game in mid-October but will have to wait since I don't own a 360. Nevertheless, I'm excited to see the trilogy come to an end, and the game has gotten very positive reviews both for its game play and story line. So, if you are one of the thousands taking today off of work to enjoy the first day of Halo 3, I hope you enjoy it.
World Cup Update:
The US and German teams both rolled into the semifinals with 3-0 impressive 3-0 wins over their quarterfinal match opponents. The US team dominated England and held them to only 3 shots on goal during the 90 minutes of play. Meanwhile, Germany fended off a pesky North Korean team with some quality defense and took advantage of the scoring opportunities that they were given. This match marks the fourth straight shut out for Germany who has not allowed a goal in the 2007 World Cup.
On the other side of the quarterfinal bracket, both Norway and Brazil advanced to the semifinals with a one goal advantage over their opponents. Norway took out the host team China. As the brackets reset for the semifinals, Germany will match up against Norway on Wednesday and the USA will match up against Brazil on Thursday. Personally, I'm hoping for a USA v Germany final.
German golie Nadine Angerer moves to catch the shot from Ri Kum Suk of North Korea.
