Sam I Am

Looks like we're getting ready for some much needed rain today. I do hope that this is not going to be all bark and no bite. If the weather is going to look so drab, then we should at least get to reap some of the benefits in the form of rain. It's an 80% chance today. Don't forget your umbrella on the way to Sugarless deLite. After all, there is a 50% chance that the weather man was right.

Friday Fun Fact: Dr. Seuss used only 50 words to write Green Eggs and Ham. In 1954, Theodor Seuss Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss, read a book titled Why Jonny Can't Read, which blamed "pallid and bland" primers for children's lack of interest in reading. So Seuss made a list of 220 words he thought important for a beginning reader to know and wrote The Cat in the Hat. It was a hit when it came out in 1957, selling 3 million copies over the next three years. His friend, editor Bennett Cerf, then bet him $50 that he couldn't write a book using only 50 words. The result was Green Eggs and Ham, published in 1960. (This fact brought to you by the Fact or Crap daily calendar.)

Happy Birthday to Josh Howard of the Dallas Mavericks. Good luck in the playoffs. Also, we am offering a free mini (4 oz) yogurt to anyone who can tell us Josh Howard's favorite movie. (Valid in store, today only with no substitutions. One free mini yogurt per person.)
