Apparently there was a little shake-and-bake yesterday and today in the Metroplex. A small earthquake hit us yesterday, and the aftershocks came this morning. Since it was a minor one, I'm a little bummed that I missed it. I'm not saying it would be fun to live through a big one, but I think the experience of the smaller variety would be interesting.

Erica and I are getting ready to head out for a few days to escape before the holiday crush. This year we decided to do a vacation for our Christmas presents to each other. Given that we really have pretty much everything that we need or want, the holidays normally just end up loading us down with additional stuff which we spend the next year trying to eliminate. We're headed to Eureka Springs for a little R&R at a B&B.

I'm really looking forward to getting out on one of the nature trails this time and taking in some of the autumn foliage. It should be a perfect time of year to see all of the trees turning. We're going to make sure to take a lot of photos. There should be some good candid animal shots.
