That's right. The sports bottles that we are found of toting around with us at the gym or the sippy cups that we give to our kids contain a chemical called bisphenol-A (BPA). After a recent study, the Canadian government has decided that this chemical is closely enough linked to possible cancer or reproductive problems that it has banned the sale of the bottles containing this chemical.
One week after the decision by the Canadian government, the main company that makes the majority of these bottles has decided to phase out the use of this chemical over the next few months. Good call Nalgene.
