I got out early on Saturday from work which allowed my wife and I to run to Bed, Bath and Beyond and pick up some curtains. After a little bit of debate, we opted for a nice blue tone. With time to spare, we set about putting up the curtains later that evening. The installation process went fairly well. Far from being just a simple household accent, these curtains are insulated and block most of the cold north draft from our downstairs window. They also double as a black out curtain and create a perfect nap environment for the couch. :)
Our household work not done, we set about taking care of Christmas decorating after a lazy Sunday afternoon of stew making. The tree is up and lit. The candle holders are all in place. Now, we just have to find room for the nativity scene. I hope to have the stockings up in the next week or two, but we have had a little bit of trouble agreeing on a stocking set so far. It seems like every option that is close is just not quite right, but I am sure that we will find some that work in time for Christmas.
Of course my wife will give herself an early Christmas present this year when she finishes school. She dislikes school as much as anyone that I know. Tonight, she gets to take her last final. After her final tonight, she has only on group presentation standing between her and graduation to the real life. Personally, I would have loved to have stayed in college, but I know that she is very excited to be finished with college. Good luck today.
There was also some college football played this weekend. While the Longhorns let me down for a second year in a row, the Tigers did pull off a wonderful victory against Kansas. That victory scrambles the rankings once again. My top 25.
