Friday Fun Fact: Part of the massive computer database that was the heart of the Terrorist Information Awareness Program, scrapped in 2003, could identify people based on the way they walk. The University of Georgia got about a million dollars from the Pentagon to develop a radar system that can read people's gait. Apparently, our walk is distinctive enough that the system can identify an individual more than 85 percent of the time. (This story brought to you by the WWDTM daily calendar.)
Happy Birthday Wishes to Michael Saul Dell. As you may know Mr. Dell is one of the pioneers of the modern computer age much like Mr. Ford was at the turn of the century with automobiles. Mr. Dell graduated from UT Austin (Go Longhorns!) where he dropped out at the age of 19 to start a little company called Dell Computer Corporation which is the most profitable computer maker in the world. Want a free mini (4oz) yogurt? Tell us the year that the Dell Computer Corporation changed its name to Dell Inc.
