The bagels have finally arrived! Today only there is a special on the bagels: Buy one bag at $4.79 (regular price) and get the second at $1.99. The bagels must be bought in pairs to receive the special. Limited to the quantities on hand and excludes the bagels in the freezer.
As for my weekend in sports wrap, I'm not panicked. The Dallas Mavericks seemed to back off in the second half of yesterday's game, but I have a feeling that this is how this series is going to go. One team is going to give a little too much and the other will take advantage of it. The key is not game one which the Mavericks could have won but game two which the Mavericks need to win. I'm not worried now, although I might be if the next game goes the same way. The Mavericks are good enough to beat this team. They just need to prove that they are good enough to beat them in the post-season.
On the other hand, the Texas Rangers might just find out if they are for real or pretenders in the next few weeks. After being swept by the Yankees this weekend, they face some stiff competition in the next few teams that they play. Their standing at the end of this month should be a good indicator of the rest of the season.
I almost forgot about Cowboy's Rookie Mini-Camp. Call me when the season starts.
