I was at a focus group yesterday. A focus group is when companies get people together and pay to hear their opinion. The group yesterday was relating to new items on the menu at Maggiano's. We had a group leader who set the format that Maggiano's was going to have new "matto" items on the menu. Matto meaning "mad" in English;therefore the idea that "the chefs" have gone mad with these new creation. Well, the new items were interesting, a shrimp & crab pasta,a beef short rib in a large pasta shell, a whole wheat creation and other items. I think most missed the mark on what I would buy;however the whole wheat pasta with chicken-sun dried tomatoes was great.
