If you are on the email group, don't worry about not getting your email yet. The email is going out today, so everyone should have it in their inbox by this evening. Sorry for the delay, it's that busy time of year.

Hanukkah starts tomorrow and Christmas is right around the corner, so don't forget to come in and get some sugar free treats for your loved ones. We've got some great new offerings this year. Also, if you need to ship for the holidays, you might want to have your shopping done by the 13th to make sure that we can get it out without any problems for you. Sugarlessdelite.com now has all of our holiday options. Let us know how we can help make the holidays a little sweeter for you.

I'm going to post two charities each day this week to share some options for giving for the holiday season and year round. Given the large number of charities that are out there, I will not even come close to making a scratch, but maybe you will see something worthwhile. If you have one in which you are involved, please feel free to leave a comment on our blog.

Catholic Charities USA: Catholic Charities agencies throughout the country are an integral part of the safety net that keeps people from utter destitution. We provide a continuum of services—food, shelter, supportive housing, clothing, financial assistance, and other forms of help—that give people a leg up when life has knocked them down.

However, our commitment goes beyond meeting peoples' daily needs. We also strive to strengthen families and build stronger communities by offering a variety of other programs such as counseling, immigration and refuge services, adoption, disaster response, child care, employment training, supports for seniors, and much more.

Catholic Charities services and programs, not only help people in their most difficult moments, but also empower them to take charge of their lives and engage in determining their futures. In short, they provide help and create hope. (Text taken from the Catholic Charities website.)

Feral Friends: To provide assistance to feral cats to ensure they have an opportunity for a safe, healthy existence and be the link to permanent, loving homes for the domesticated cats we rescue.

To accomplish this mission, we have three, vital programs that work in
unison to offer assistance to the cats and kittens of our community: Race to Reduce Litters (feral), Rescue and ReHome (adoption), Lost Cat Recovery Program. (Text taken from the Feral Friends website.)

Some college football programs where feeling charitable this weekend as well and gave up their spots to the big bowl. This has been one crazy year in college football. Unfortunately, the BCS is going to supply us with another stinker of a game: Ohio State and LSU. I can't wait to not watch this one. Of course, the problem of the BCS could be solved with a playoff system or a simple plus one system, but I won't hold my breath.
