Cone Day! All cones are $1.85 (regularly $2.77).
We are no longer accepting additional orders for the bakery. We will bake extra pies and cake loaves, but it is a good idea to come in early to make sure that you can get something if you don't have an order.
After today, we will be down to the final two shopping days before Christmas. We will be open extended hours tomorrow and our hours will be shorter on Monday.
Sunday: 10 AM to 6 PM
Monday: 9 AM to 4 PM
While you are in the store, it is a good idea to pick up a calendar so that you will know the hours for the last week of the year.
The Festivus celebration was wonderful. We managed quite a good showing of grievances and, as the Festivus cheer spread, to include the staff of Bavarian Grill. The friendly banter between our table and the accordion player was enjoyable. Moreover, the annual hiding of the Festivus pole was an enjoyable feat of strength, albeit of the mind. Thanks to Summer and Corey for hosting yet again.
After the Festivus activities, I learned an important lesson about owning a cat-don't role over on it while sleeping on the couch. I'm not sure if I awoke to the horrible scream of the cat or the claws that were digging into my arm. Either way, it was an unpleasant way to awake. I'm sure that Wilson, the cat, would second that viewpoint. The only upside to it is that the incident woke me up enough to finish the book that I was reading.
