A 2 B

As I was watching Sports Center last night after dinner, I heard that Lamar Hunt died from complications related to prostate cancer. For those of you not familiar with Mr. Hunt, he is one of the legends of American sports. He was one of the founders of the AFL and one of the main reasons that the NFL and AFL merged. He owned the Kansas City Chiefs. He was also one of the founders of the MLS and owner of both the FC Dallas team and the Columbus Crew. As if that wasn't enough, he was a pioneer in the world of tennis as a co-founder of the World Tennis Circuit.

Among his many honors that he received in his life, Mr. Hunt was named Man of the Year by the Kappa Sigma Fraternity in 1973. He is a brother from the Epsilon-Gamma of Louisiana Tech University. So I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Brother Hunt for all he has done for the world of sport and for all of his humanitarian contributions over the years. You will be missed.

Today is Cone Day! All cones are $1.85 all day long (regularly $2.72).

Looks like many of you are giving a little bit extra this year as All of the Above and White Elephant gifts took the top spots for additional holiday giving. This week we ask what is the Number of Days for Your Christmas Vacation? (It's coming up soon!)

Thursday Motivator:

We were born to succeed, not to fail.-Henry David Thoreau (Good luck on your holiday shopping.)
