The weather is starting to depress me. It's just too warm for this time of year. I'm ready for some cooler weather to come our way. There aren't too many things that get me down, but the weather is certainly one of them. While rainy days might do it for some, it is the warm or hot weather that does it to me. More to the point, the warm or hot weather during the traditional fall and winter months. A quick look at the 10 day forecast tells me that I've got at least another week or two to deal. I'll try and make it trough.

The good part of the rain this morning was the chance that it gave us to place our final orders for Christmas. If you haven't counted yet, Christmas is only 83 days away. If you haven't seen any decorations going up around town, give it a couple of weeks. It just seems to be earlier and earlier every year. Thankfully, we have taken a stand at Sugarless deLite: No Christmas until after Halloween. The traditionalist in me wants to wait until Thanksgiving, but the business man realizes the reason why other businesses put Christmas up even sooner than the end of October.

Bah. The violin tends to be too shrill for my tastes. Violinists also usually stand when doing solos. Color me lazy, but I'd prefer to remain sitting. Replace violin with cello below.

***You Should Play the Violin***

You are highly intelligent, and mastering difficult subjects never intimidates you.
And while you may not be musical yet, you have a good ear - and you're sensitive to subtle differences in music.

You study well under a teacher, and you don't mind repeating tasks or following instructions.

Expressive and moody, you are very likely to convey a variety of rich emotions through your music.
You are definitely a passionate person... passionate enough to truly love the violin.

You Should Play the Guitar
You're very independent - both in spirit and in the way you learn.
You can teach yourself almost anything, even if it makes your fingers bleed.

You're not really the type to sit patiently through a music lesson - or do things by the book.
It's more your style to master the fundamentals and see where they take you.

Highly creative and a bit eclectic, you need a wide range of music to play.
You could emerge as a sensitive songwriter... or a manic rock star.

Your dominant personality characteristic: being rebellious

Your secondary personality characteristic: tenacity

***You Should Play the Harp***

You are a sensitive soul, with a great admiration for beauty.
You definitely have what it takes to make beautiful music, but most instruments are too harsh for you.

You are subtle, shy, and even a bit spoiled. You're very picky about most aspects of your life.
It's just your style to play an eccentric, hard to transport instrument like the harp that few people consider.

Overall, you have the relaxed demeanor of a leisurely upper class person, and your music would reflect that.
Your calm yet soulful harp playing would be sure to help people forget their troubles for a while.

Your dominant personality characteristic: your zen-ness

Your secondary personality characteristic: your quiet independence
