All Good Things Must End

I know that some of you will be happy that this is the last chronicle of the Dallas Mavericks playoff run; however, I do wish that I could have written the last entry with a celebration of a trophy coming to Dallas. The Mavericks had a great run and it was a lot of fun until the last four games. Maybe next year we will be able to give out 16 free small yogurts to for the Mavericks Playoff Yogurt Pass. :(

My prediction is that the city of Dallas and the surrounding area will suffer a bit of a collective hang over for the next few days as people re-adjust to the fact that the Mavericks will not be the NBA champions this year. Many people will complain. Many already have. We'll all get back to normal.

Don't make the mistake of thinking that soccer is an easy or soft sport.

World Cup Update:

We are approaching the final matches of the first round of play. Tomorrow is the fateful day for team USA. Remember to route for Italy. The teams who have clinched an advance to the next round are Germany, Ecuador, England, Sweden, Argentina, the Netherlands, Portugal, Mexico, Brazil and Spain. This of course leaves six open slots which will be decided today, tomorrow and Friday.

Here is a article with an brief history of the World Cup.

You'd be angry too if your team made you dress up like a giant fireball.
