We've Got the Hook Up
Yogurt Flavors: Chocolate Decadence, World Class Vanilla, Roasted Almond, Caramel Fudge, Chocolate Banana and Peach.
Today, we have a free small special for all Trinity Christian Academy and JJ Pearce students. Get ready to start your school year off right with a little yogurt from Sugarless deLite.
The 100 Days of Blogger promotion is going well. With almost 100 players in the game now the odds are surprisingly good. You've got about a 1 in 4 chance of being picked in the month. So, if you haven't won yet, keep checking. If you do win, make sure to come in the same day to redeem your 10 dollar shopping prize.
I was able to get the washer and dryer hooked up without any significant problems last night. Unlike last year, I double checked to make sure that the clamp was tight on the drain hose for the washer and was thus able to avoid a repeat of a miniature kitchen flood. With the laundry area set up, we began to tackle the pile of laundry that had accumulated over the past few weeks.
Additionally, all of the major insurance policies are now in place. There are so many insurance policies. I'm pretty sure that going through the process of setting up insurance for health, auto, home and life is a perverse modern day equivalent of a young warrior going out to their first battle. The survival and victory* at the end of the process is what marks our final ascent into adulthood. :(
If you’ve every wondered just how odd the whole insurance thing is, then remember, at the end of the day, a life insurance policy means that you are betting against your own survival and the massive company is betting for your survival hoping you live out your 30 year term. I found this thought comforting when I set up my policy last year.
*Gaining the right to pay money to a company so that you can then hope that you don’t ever need to use the policy that you just bought.
