I'm trying to make sure that I've got everything in order for Rick to take over the daily operations again. This work received a big boost on Saturday when I managed to locate my work folder from the old hard drive. This folder contains the vast majority of fliers, documents, pictures, excel documents, and other work that I have done over the last 5 1/2 years of managing the store. Therefore, the amount of redo work has been massively reduced. Now, I've just got a few changes to make to the stores website. After 10 years of toiling away, manly for video games, it decided to freak out and cease operation. As I was playing Final Fantasy XII, the TV flicked off and then proceeded to turn on and off repeatedly. At no point and time did the picture actually come back to the screen. Truthfully, I was a little more bummed about the loss of my progress in the game at first. The funny thing is how important a TV can become in our everyday lives. The management group that has taken over our apartments seems to be doing a lot of things to improve them. In addition to giving a half month of free rent for lease renewals, they have undertaken an exterior upgrade project and are building a new fitness center. They are also more responsive to the needs of the tenants. And, the new manager of the property will actually speak with the residents.
