Each of us competed as individuals with an electronic device that records the answers that are imputed and instantly shows the results on the screen. It's fun to see your name pop up on the screens when you're winning. It seems that we both came in with the idea that this would be an easy game to just run through; however, when you don't play a game for 5 to 7 years, it is not as easy as you remember it. It seems that there is a bit of a learning curve to the game after all. Nevertheless, we stumbled through the first few levels and got into a little bit of a grove. It was kind of fun to go back in time. It's hard to believe that this game is 17 years old. Back in the day, I remember it had top-notch graphics. I hope that everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving day. I know that I did because I got to spend it with my girlfriends family and share a wonderful meal with them. I got to cook a little and lounge a little and watch a little bit of football. It was great being able to spend the special day of thanks with a family that I know loves each other dearly. We played Trivial Pursuit (90's edition) during the evening. This version seems to have a lot of focus on pop culture. :( My girlfriend and her grandfather won. Congratulations. This weekend my friends and I participated in another trivia game. This one was at Trinity Hall. They had been there several times before and thought that the trivia was a little more knowledge based rather than pop culture. They were right. If only we had brushed up on our Greek mythology we would have had first place. We finished second, one point behind the winners. While it is hard for me to say, sometimes second place is all right. Coming fresh off our placing at the Trinity Hall trivia challenge, we boldly return to the Flying Saucer tonight to be knocked right back down. Least pride set in among us as I'm sure it will once again prove to be a humbling experience. For the second week in a row, we had a small group at trivia night. Our limited brain power in regards to pop culture once again secured us a firm position at the bottom of the power rankings. It was a painful evening where even the waitresses took mercy on us in the final round and helped us with a few answers. Here is the best part-We won a 10 dollar gift certificate again! Apparently, the moderator enjoys watching us suffer for four straight rounds. This time he did say that we were horrible. I mentioned the weather last week and I am so glad that I can mention it again this week. The weather last night was perfect and it looks like it is going to be great for September standards all week long. The cool breeze in the air last night made me excited for the up coming fall season.
