I remind everyone that the life blood of any business small or large are the people who trade with you. We all have made cut backs to get through harder times. My suggestion is cut back on some the trips to the Walmarts and chains and support the small businesses . No, I understand that some trips are needed in hard times but check out the small resturants and small places that need your business more than ever. Hard times do not last for ever and as we start our Twentyth I remind you of how important each of our customer is to Sugarless deLite. As many of you have seen. Brad has left our company af

Here is a good tip for everyone out there in the Richardson/Plano/Garland area: If you are looking for an honest and great auto mechanic, go to Gus' Auto Center (405 South Central Expressway Suite 116 Richardson, TX/972.235.1818). Apparently, I've blogged about him since my Google search turned up our blog as the tenth search result, but he's worth mentioning again. My family has been going to Gus for all of our auto needs for over 15 years now. It's hard to find an auto mechanic who will shoot straight with you. Gus does. I recommend him to everyone I know. Thankfully, Rick was able to run me over to the auto shop yesterday after

I'm pretty sure that these two PayPal phishing schemes were created by someone as a junior high comput

Over the last year, we have been privileged to have the opportunity to get to know some of the students at Trinity Christian Academy. The senior class of 2007 has shown us great support. As they are getting ready to leave for college over the next few days and weeks, we would like to wish them the best. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. Thinking back to my time at college, I've come up with a few helpful hints for the college bound: 1. Always remember your old friends from back home, but don't forget to make new ones where you are. 2. Get involved. Whether it is with a club, student government, a sorority or fraternity (Go Kappa Sigma), a sport or a church group; become active in your college community. 3. Take the opportunities that are handed to you. If you have a

When Smoke Gets in Your Eyes

Last night was the first evening when it seemed like a great idea to start a fire. I've never had a fireplace that I have used at any of my other apartments and thought that it was high time to use it. Here are a couple of fire safety tips for the cold winter months: 1. Make sure the flume is open. If you have a question about this, you can light a small piece of paper, hold it under the flume and see if the smoke rises straight up. 2. Use a clean burning fire log instead of wood. There are now have several environmentally friendly options that burn for several hours and create much less smoke and particulate matter. 3. When using a clean burning log, follow the directions and do not add additional fuel to the fire. In particular, paper is bad and may lead to a very smoky apartment which can in turn set off a fire detector thus necessitating one to open all of the windows and the patio door to alleviate the smoke but, in the process, cooling off the entire apartment to 57 degrees a
